How to make 2019 one of the best years of your life

2019 has already started and some of us are still confused on how to make this year different from other years. How to make this year more productive? How to make this year one of the best years till now? What is something that can be done differently this year?

If you have entered 2019 without any plan but still you want to make it one of the best years of your life then just carry on reading.

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” — Charles R. Swindoll
We are living in a time where we dread boredom and instead choose aimless distractions. We have lost the ability to structure our lives. We are moving forward without any aim thinking we might make it someday. But no, Nothing is going to happen until we change ourselves.

Start focusing on structuring your life.

It is not something that is going to happen in days or weeks or even months. We have to plan it every single day. We have to work on it every single day. So the first thing we can do is start structuring our day.
“One minute spent in planning saves as many as ten minutes in execution” — Brian Tracy
Brian Tracy says if you want to achieve something, take a pen and paper, write it down and work on it every single day. Yes, it is as simple as that.

For that, you have to make a habit of planning your day. You can do it the night before or it should be the first thing in the morning. Make a list of all the things that need to be done, prioritize them and focus on the important things first. There is always one main thing that should be crossed off the list before any other thing. Learn to prioritize your tasks.

Now you know that for structuring your life you have to start structuring every single day of your life and for that you need to have goals in your life. There can be short term goals, long term goals, goals you want to achieve in a certain period of time. There must be something that you want to achieve.

Having goals in life is really important. But Why?

Goals give you focus

When you set goals, you exactly know what you want to achieve, you know where your focus should be. Goals help you determine what you want in life? what is the level of success you want to achieve? Without goals, your efforts will be often confusing, you will be not sure whether you are focusing on the right thing or you are just wasting your time.

Goals help you stay motivated

It is easy to put work off until tomorrow when there is no goal on the line. But if you do have goals then they will keep you motivated until you achieve them. They will tell your movement in the right or wrong direction.

Goals help you beat procrastination

Procrastination is something we all battle time to time, sometimes it feels like we have no control over it. However, when you set goals, it helps you understand that procrastination is dangerous, it is a wasted day, it is another day you aren’t moving closer to your goal.

Goals help you measure progress

Being able to keep track of your progress towards achieving a goal is only possible if you set ONE in the first place. Being able to measure progress is extremely rewarding and will help you maintain focus.

“People with goals succeed because they know where they’re going.” — Earl Nightingale

If you are a person who thinks goals are a big deal and you don’t know how to start then just follow this advice: Make your goal so stupid and simple that chance of failing it will be impossible. For example, if you want to change your fitness level, just start with one push-up and then gradually increase it day by day until it becomes a habit. Create Mini Habits and stick to them.

Best of luck and Wish you a great year ahead in 2019.
